The Hellenic History Foundation celebrates World Poetry Day (March 21) by paying homage to poet Dimitris K. Papakonstantinou, Constantinople-born 4-time award winner by the Academy of Athens.

His Collected Poems / Poiitika Apanta (Volumes I and II), published by the Hellenic History Foundation in Greek only, are on a special price for one month from today.

Until April 21, the Collected poems / Poiitika Apanta (Volumes I and II) are available for the price of 10 euros total.

“Beyond Borders” International Documentary Festival travels from Castellorizo to Prague!


"Beyond Borders" International Documentary Festival travelled from Castellorizo to Prague from March 10 to March 14, following an invitation by the Czech Centre in Athens (Embassy of the Czech Republic) and "One World" International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival.

While in Prague, Art Director of "Beyond Borders" Irini Sarioglou, along with colleagues, attended world premieres of competing documentary films, participated in various "One World" events like Festivals Meet Festivals and met with several directors, producers, art directors and representatives of important Documentary Festivals like the head of Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival (one of the biggest of its kind in Central Europe), Rene Kubasek.

Furthermore, during the Festival's visit to Prague, Irini Sarioglou met with Ambassador of Greece in the Czech Republic Mr. Efthimios Efthimiadis, who declared his future support towards "Beyond Borders", if the Festival continues to collaborate with cultural organisations in the Czech Republic.

A new channel of communication with Czechia and the people of documentary production has just begun!
